The NFL will salute four decades of greatness during the coin toss ceremony for the Feb. 1 game between the Pittsburgh Steelers and Arizona Cardinals and the Vince Lombardi Trophy presentation of Super Bowl XLIII. The coin toss will feature Roger Craig (Super Bowl XXIII, 1989), John Elway (Super Bowl XXXIII, 1999) and Lynn Swann (Super Bowl XIII, 1979). Joe Namath (Super Bowl III, 1969) will participate in the Vince Lombardi Trophy presentation.

Reactions from Roger Craig:

"As a 49er it was such an honor to have won 3 Super Bowls throughout my career, it's even more gratifying doing the coin toss in front of the world with NFL greats, John Elway and Lynn Swann,” said Craig in an exclusive interview with OPENSports.com.

“This is definitely a huge thrill, and to be doing the coin toss with my OPEN Sports teammate John Elway is even a bigger honor. It is great when you are able to recognize the decades of history and I am going to representing the 80’s, so I am very excited about that!” Craig told OPEN Sports host Sid Rosenberg.

Swann was one of my favorties as a kid. Still have the news clips of his awesome catch.

I think it is wonderful to have all the greats in one place, just imagine how Lynn Swann will feel with the Pittsburgh Steelers playing as well.
