Amber Wilson joins us at OpenSports.com as a video host/reporter with a passion for everything sports. Before joining the Open Sports team, she acted as a video host for CBSSports.com (2006-2008) where she covered an array of sports with an emphasis on fantasy sports. She also spent time in her career as a freelance reporter around the state of Florida and full time intern at WCJB in Gainesville Florida gaining sports broadcast experience (2005-2006).

Wilson, a native of Sarasota Florida, graduated from the University of Florida in 2005 with a bachelors in telecommunications news and a minor in history.

Her love of sports comes from her father who took her to countless Gator football games from the time she was a small child. She couldn't wait for those Saturdays and declared she would be the first female collegiate football coach when she grew up. Instead, she decided sports casting was for her thanks to the guidance of her older brother who suggested it to her when she was in middle school. She never altered her goal and is now living out her dream.

In her free time, Wilson enjoys watching sports, enjoying Florida's sunny weather, spending time with friends, dining out and spending time with the love of her life - her dog Peanut. She also plans to compete on the world fitness level in the future and trains for it as much as possible. Her favorite teams are the Gators, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Miami Heat, Florida Marlins, and Tampa Bay Lightning.
