Sid Rosenberg was formerly the morning drive host on 790 The Ticket, an all-sports radio station based in Miami, Fla. He was the sports reporter for the “Imus in the Morning” program from 2001 to 2005 and he is a former mid-day host of shows on WFAN, the nation’s first-ever sports-talk radio station, where he had shows with Joe Benigno, one of the nation’s most passionate sports-talk hosts and with current Philadelphia ESPN Radio host Jody MacDonald, who is the son of former New York Mets general manager Joe MacDonald.
Rosenberg started his radio career alongside Scott Kaplan on "The Drive," heard strictly on the Internet at SportsLine USA. The show’s popularity online grew so much the show eventually moved to terrestrial radio to accommodate a burgeoning audience — and was nationally syndicated in more than 40 markets across the country by Sportsman and Westwood One Entertainment.
Rosenberg also co-hosted “The NFL Today” pre-game show heard nationally on Westwood One for three seasons. After two years on national radio, Rosenberg (and Kaplan) took their act to New York City, where they hosted "The Sports Guys" show, heard mornings on WNEW (102.7 FM). At the time WNEW was also home for the popular "Opie and Anthony Show," "The Radio Chick" and "Ron and Fez." ??
While at WFAN, Rosenberg was the pre-game show host for the New York Football Giants for three seasons. He has also worked with the New York Daily News, CSTV, The Best Damn Sports Show, The New York Dragons and FOX online (just to name a few).
Rosenberg has also made multiple appearances on many news shows, including MSNBC’s "Joe Scarborough Show," "Hardball with Chris Matthews" the now defunct "John McEnroe Show" and CNBC's "Donny Deutsch Show." In November 2005, Rosenberg relocated to South Florida and signed on with 790 The Ticket.
Sid is the 1999 Broward New Times Radio Personality of the Year, the 2003 New York Press New Jersey Radio Personality of the Year and the 2006 New Times People's Choice for Radio Personality of the Year.
South Florida listeners now wake up with Sid every Monday through Friday from 5:30 to 10 a.m.
