NORMAN — Stephen Curry got his. And it was a bunch.

Blake Griffin eventually got his, too.

And more.

Curry wowed with a career- and game-high 44 points for No. 21-ranked Davidson, but Griffin and the No. 12 Sooners surged behind a big second half to win 82-78 in the second round of the NIT Season Tip-Off before an estimated 9,118 at Lloyd Noble Center.

Griffin scored 21 of his team-high 25 after intermission and added a career-high 21 rebounds to help send the Sooners to Madison Square Garden for the semifinals of the tournament next week.

Griffin and Curry, representing 40 percent of the Associated Press All-America first team, delivered on their star status with 19 NBA scouts in the house and several members of the Thunder in the seats — all hoping to catch a glimpse of the next big things.

Afterward, two scouts had this exchange:

"That was a treat.”

The reply: "Truly outstanding.”

he men’s Final Four basketball championship will return to the Dallas-Fort Worth area in 2014 after a 28-year absence.

The NCAA announced this morning that the new $1.1 billion Dallas Cowboys stadium in Arlington will host one of the nation's premier sporting events. The area last hosted a Final Four tournament in 1986 at Reunion Arena, which is set to be demolished next year.

The other winning bidders were New Orleans, Atlanta, Houston and Indianapolis, home of the NCAA headquarters.

The new Cowboys stadium, which is still under construction and opens in 2009, will now host three of the nation’s largest team sporting events in its first few years. Last month, the NBA announced that it would hold its 2010 All-Star Game at the Cowboys stadium, and the site has already been selected for the 2011 Super Bowl.

Officials from the Cowboys, Big 12 Conference and regional officials active in the Super Bowl bid made a presentation last week to the 1

Tell Stacey to come work here....and you can go teach her kids. On second thought, maybe that's not such a good idea.
