High school Career:
Luke M. Powers, Flint Michigan. High school accolades include unanimous all city, all state and all American honors.
College Career:
Member of the 1988 University of Notre Dame National Championship Team. Two time all American honors. A member of the all time Notre Dame team.
Proffessional Career:
Pro football weekly rated Lyght the second best available player and the best defensive player in the 1991 NFL draft. He was selected 5th overall by the Los Angeles Rams. Played 10 years with the Rams. Had six interceptions while leading the Rams to a Super Bowl Championship in 2000. Selected to the NFL’s All pro team. Finished career with 38 interceptions, fourth all time in Rams history. Lyght was selected to the Rams Alltime team. Played two seasons in Detroit where he lead the team in interceptions and finished his career in 2004.
Todd is currently working with his foundation to help provide scholarships for students going onto college. And is a sports analyst for Fox Sports Radio.
