We are only a couple of days removed from the NFL’s regular season and already, multiple coaches have been fired. And rightly so. Those coaches,Romeo Crennel of the Browns, Eric Mangini ofthe Jets andRod Marinelli of the Lions combined for a dismal 13-35 record this season. Mangini and the Jets were 8-3 after handing the Titans their first loss of the season and poised to win the AFC East, until they completely folded, losing four of their last five. Two of those games were against San Fr Read more...7 days ago | 6 comments

We all know that Plaxico Burress shot himself in the leg last week. So what? There are plenty of other things he could have been doing that would have been worse. You’re telling me you’ve never been in a situation where you wouldn’t have taken a minor gunshot wound to get out of there? Here are six examples that might make you change your mind:
He could have caught a Golden Girls marathon on Lifetime. I mean seriously, did anyone ever think that four old hags living Read more...

On Sunday, I watched as the Cincinnati Bengals and the Philadelphia Eagles played to a 13-13 tie. That reminded me … ties are stupid. Even the NHL got rid of ties. How is the NFL so behind the times that they’re willing to have two of their teams tie? There are only three things that should be tied … actual ties, shoelaces, and chicks, to beds, in porno films.
There are a lot of dumb things in sports and rather than rambling on for 5,000 words, I’ll give to you six qui Read more...

Every MLB offseason starts the same. There are a handful of free agents that everyone focuses their attention on, and 10 months later, people are wondering why they picked up such a bum.
This year, the prized free agents are CC Sabathia, Manny Ramirez and Mark Teixeira. Who from this year's class will be the guy everyone turns against? Don’t fight it! It’s bound to happen because it does every year. Here are guys from the past five years who were big signings for their teams and the Read more...

I work in an office with a bunch of college football fans and they root for teams like Florida, Florida State, Miami and South Florida. Me? I'm a proud graduate of the Pennsylvania State University, the No. 3 ranked team in the nation. My Nittany Lions are seventh in the country, scoring 45.3 points per game. They’ve also gained the second most yards in the nation with 3,420.
Now, I'm sure I'll hear about the competition that PSU has played. They may not have had the toughest schedule, bu Read more...

Relax Greg. It'll all be over soon.
Look, Imake no bones about being a Bengals fan. Why is anyone's guess. Ishould be in witness protection, not out like Sammy the Bull. Probably not, but that is the demented life Ilead as a fan of the Cincinnati Bengals and LADodgers.
Yup, you may not have known, but Iroot for The Bums ... and last night, that's what they looked like.
Imean this is the last game of the season, potentially and Isaw no fire, no urge. The Dodgers fell flat on their face and fro Read more...

ALL ABOARD! Next stop Cincinnati!
Here’s what I want to hear come April, “With the first pick in the 2009 NFL draft, the Cincinnati Bengals select Javon Ringer, running back from Michigan State University.”
Javon Ringer is the man, and as a Bengals fan, I look forward to him being our top pick. You think I’m kidding? Then you are insane, and coming from a proud Bengals fan, that’s saying something.
Cincinnati is 0-6 at this point and they’re about to take o Read more...

Have you ever had a birthday or some other event that you’ve ruined? I have, and the devastation sticks with me to this day.
I was probably 10. A friend of mine had a radio controlled car and I thought it was the coolest thing in the world. For a couple of weeks leading up to my birthday, I knew that with whatever money I got from relatives, I was going to get one and it was going to be AWESOME!
One weekend before my birthday, a friend of mine took me out to some baseball field where he Read more...

Week 2 is in the books and I think we’ve all gotten a pretty good idea of the teams that have a chance to make the playoffs and the teams that don’t. some teams have stumbled out of the gate and others have been flat out terrible.
This article is about the bottom feeders and I’m a fan of one of those beat teams, so let’s start with them:
Cincinnati-- The Bengals were expected to be pitiful on defense, but their offense has played nearly as bad. Over the first two weeks Read more...

Our own Amber Wilson was named one of the 15 Hottest Female Sportscasters by Spike TV. In response, we’ve decided to come up with a list of the 10 Ugliest Male Sportscasters. This wasn’t as easy as you may think. There were A LOT of ugly dudes to choose from.
Kenny Albert – The son of legendary broadcaster Marv Albert, is the first to make the list. Albert can be seen, unfortunately, on Fox’s baseball and football coverage and he’s also the voice of the NHL&rsquo Read more...
