Centers
Bogut misses practice on Thursday
Bucks general manager John Hammond told the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel that C Andrew Bogut, who was unable to practice on Thursday due to a leg injury, will be sidelined two to four weeks due to a strained left leg. He suffered the injury diving for a loose ball in Wednesday's game against New Jersey.
Analysis: Dan Gadzuric is likely to draw the start on Friday against the Bobcats, although Hammond said it will be more of a "committee." Reserve Bogut immediately in all fantasy leagues.
Okur doesn't travel due to flu
Utah Jazz C Mehmet Okur (flu) didn't travel to San Antonio for Thursday's game, missing his second consecutive contest.
Analysis: Okur remains day to day. The Jazz didn't need him, as they won 90-83 to snap a 20-game losing streak in San Antonio.
Forwards
LeBron probable for Friday's game
The Cleveland Plain Dealer is reporting that Cavaliers superstar F LeBron James is listed as probable for Friday's game at Indiana after banging his left wrist on the rim in Wednesday's game in Washington.
Analysis: LeBron has been hard on the Pacers over the past four seasons. He has at least seven rebounds in 14 of his past 16 games vs. Indiana and he has gone for at least 26 points in 10 of the past 12 meetings. He has averaged 42.0 ppg in his past two against the Pacers, including a triple-double on Feb. 10, 2009. In fact, he has triple-doubles in two of the past seven meetings.
Varejao questionable for Friday
The Cleveland Plain Dealer is reporting that Cavaliers F/C Anderson Varejao (hip) is questionable for Friday's game at Indiana. He is expected to test his injury during th team's morning shootaround.
Analysis: A.V. has a chance to see plenty of minutes against the Pacers with C Shaquille O'Neal (shoulder) sitting. However, play it safe in all daily fantasy leagues and keep him reserved until he can prove his health.
Mbah a Moute misses practice
The Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel is reporting that Bucks F Luc Richard Mbah a Moute was unable to practice on Thursday due to a sprained left foot. He is wearing a boot and also did not play in Wednesday's win against the Nets.
Analysis: Look for Carlos Delfino and Hakim Warrick, recently demoted from the starting five in favor of Ersan Ilyasova, to benefit the most with extra minutes if LRMAM cannot go.
Gallinari dealing with stiff back
New York Knicks coach Mike D'Antoni told Newsday on Thursday that F Danilo Gallinari is "fine" despite an awful performance on Wednesday night against the Pacers which was attributed to a stiff back.
Analysis: After a brilliant start, Gallinari has tailed off a little bit, including his scoreless night on Wednesday. Gallinari averaged 17.1 ppg over his first seven games, but has gone for just 9.5 ppg over his past four.
Walton to be sidelined six weeks
The Los Angeles Daily News is reporting that Lakers F Luke Walton underwent a "facet rhizotomy" on Wednesday, a procedure to relieve pain associated with a pinched nerve in his back. Walton is expected to be sidelined six weeks.
Analysis: Fantasy owners should reserve him in all deeper fantasy leagues or consider dropping him if you need the roster spot.
Hilton Armstrong sits on Thursday
New Orleans Hornets F/C Hilton Armstrong (sprained right shoulder) was inactive for Thursday's game against Phoenix.
Analysis: Armstrong was considered probable for the game, but he has now missed two in a row. If you normally depend on him in deeper fantasy leagues, reserve him until he can officially return.
Guards
Ginobili ruled OUT for Thursday's game
The San Antonio Spurs have ruled G Manu Ginobili OUT for Thursday's game against the Jazz due to a strained groin suffered in Wednesday's contest in Dallas.
Analysis: Ginobili and Tony Parker (ankle) being sidelined would put San Antonio's 20-game home winning streak against the Jazz in serious jeopardy. Reserve both in all fantasy leagues which allow daily transactions.
Parker doesn't face Jazz
San Antonio Spurs G Tony Parker, who aggravated his sprained left ankle on Saturday against Oklahoma City, missed his second straight game on Thursday at home against Utah.
Analysis: Ginobili and Tony Parker (ankle) being sidelined snapped San Antonio's 20-game home winning streak against the Jazz. Reserve both in all fantasy leagues which allow daily transactions.
Redd goes through non-contact drills
The Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel is reporting that Bucks veteran swingman Michael Redd (left knee injury) took part in non-contact drills on Thursday, but he is still not likely to play in Friday's game against the Bobcats.
Analysis: Redd is making his way back from a strained left patella tendon. He added that he wants to take part in some contact drills in practice before returning to game action, so the report adds that he is likely out at least for Friday's game, as well as Saturday's game in Memphis. Keep him reserved in all fantasy leagues until he can officially get back into a game and prove his health without any setbacks.
Devin Harris back on Saturday?
New Jersey Nets G Devin Harris (groin) told the Newark Star-Ledger that he will "definitely play" on Saturday's afternoon game against the Knicks. "It feels fine. No pain. There’s some tightness and soreness," Harris said.
Analysis: If Harris is indeed able to play, it will be safe to plug him back into the active lineup in all leagues for Fantasy Week 5 (Nov. 23-29).
Eric Gordon nearing a return
The Los Angeles Times is reporting that Clippers G Eric Gordon (groin) might return to the lineup as early as next week barring any setbacks.
Analysis: Gordon is especially attractive now that Kareem Rush (knee) is out for the season. However, keep him reserved in all fantasy leagues until he can officially return and prove his health in at least one full game.
Kareem Rush has torn ACL
The Los Angeles Times is reporting that Clippers swingman Kareem Rush suffered a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee during Tuesday's game and he is out for the season.
Analysis: Rush will have surgery some time soon, although there is no exact date announced for the operation. Ricky Davis has some short-term fantasy appeal until Eric Gordon (groin) is able to make his way back. He might return as early as next week barring any setbacks.
