Baltimore
Ravens
(5-5)

Key matchup: Steelers pass defense vs. QB Joe Flacco
The Ravens rushing attack has been a little slow the past few weeks. If Ray Rice and company can’t get things going against the Steelers, then it will be up to Flacco to make plays and the second year QB has been up and down this season.
Key matchup: Baltimore run defense vs. Steelers RBs
Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger sustained a concussion against the Chiefs and may be out for the game. If that’s the case, all the Ravens will have to worry about is stopping RB Rashard Mendenhall. If they can do that, they should win easily.

Weather report: Partly cloudy. Lows in the mid 40s. West winds at 6 mph.

Xavi's Forecast: The Steelers are now 2-3 without S Troy Polamalu in the lineup. And it’s no coincidence, considering they lost to the Chiefs last week and made QB Matt Cassel and his rag-tag bunch of receivers look like Joe Montana in 1994 (remember, he wasn’t that good then). Despite this, Ravens QB Joe Flacco, who hasn’t thrown a touchdown pass in his past three games, should have another low game, so play him at your own risk. Also, don’t count too much on QB Ben Roethlisberger, who experienced a concussion related injury and may not even play. All defense in this one.

Injury report: STEELERS: OUT: QB Charlie Batch (left wrist), G Chris Kemoeatu (knee), S Troy Polamalu (knee). QUESTIONABLE: DE Travis Kirschke (calf), QB Ben Roethlisberger (head). PROBABLE: RB Willie Parker (hip). RAVENS: DOUBTFUL: LB Terrell Suggs (knee). QUESTIONABLE: LB Ray Lewis (foot), S Ed Reed (illness, foot). PROBABLE: C Matt Birk (neck), TE Todd Heap (chest), LB Jarret Johnson (shoulder), NT Haloti Ngata (ankle), TE L.J. Smith (illness).

Shaw's analysis: This is a fine defensive slugfest, and I expect the Steelers to bounce back. The veteran club should be embarrassed after last weekend, and will now remind us why they are champs. The Ravens just don't have enough fire power on the offensive end.

Marc Lawrence: PIT -- Defendng champs dig deep to avoid 3rd straight loss.

Gonos' Fantasy Four Downs

  • Ray Rice has been one of the great success stories this season, but the Steelers have allowed just two rushing TDs all year.
  • There really is no other passing threat on the Ravens than Derrick Mason. His 11 targets a game over the past three weeks rank him in the top 10.
  • Ben Roethlisberger is coming off his best fantasy game of the season (398 yards, three TDs, two INTs), but the Steelers lost the game. They’d much rather have a ball-control gameplan, with Big Ben throwing just 30 times, as opposed to the 42 times he did Sunday.
  • Santonio Holmes has 267 receiving yards in his past three games – but no TDs.
