After a 65-yard performance Sunday against the Bears, Morris finished the season with 384 rushing yards and two touchdowns.
Analysis:  Morris' numbers - especially his 4.1 YPC - are inflated thanks to a 126-yard effort against Arizona in Week 15, but he's been pretty unspectacular since. Morris could be in line to start at least a few games to begin the 2010 season with Kevin Smith rehabbing a torn ACL. It also wouldn't be surprising to see the Lions bring in some more competition either via the draft or free agency.

Morris rushed 18 times for just 37 yards Sunday against the 49ers. He also caught four passes for 29 yards.
Analysis:  After a strong showing last week, Morris certainly took a step back against San Fran, though it's encouraging to see him used in the passing game. Morris' work will certainly temper a lot of optimism in Detroit about the veteran going into the offseason, barring a big game in Week 17. With Kevin Smith undergoing surgery last week to repair a torn ACL, it wouldn't be surprising to see the Lions in the market for another running back, though Morris is still under contract for two more seasons.

Analysis:  Anyone who took a chance playing Morris in their fantasy championship after his strong performance the previous week against Arizona was likely disappointed. Morris has been filling in for injured starter Kevin Smith.

Maurice Morris rushed the ball 18 times in Sunday's loss to the 49ers, but gained just 37 yards. He also caught four passes for 29 yards.
Analysis:  Morris exploded last week for 126 yards and a score on 17 carries, so his production this week was a disappointment to say the least. He has ability and the starting job, with Kevin Smith on IR, but he's too volatile a player to be counted on in fantasy leagues. Consider him a flex spot at best against the Bears next week.
