Anquan Boldin and the Cardinals are reportedly talking again regarding a new contract, according to ProFootballTalk.com.

Analysis:It is uncertain if progress has been made in negotiations, but the Cardinals do expect the elite receiver to report for training camp. As previously stated, Boldin is now represented by agent Tom Condon after firing Drew Rosenhaus for failing to gain ground in talks with Arizona.

Ben Patrick has been dealt a four-game suspension by the NFL for testing positive for a banned substance (Aderol), according to Scout.com.

Analysis:Patrick claims he took Aderol to stay awake on a drive from Flagstaff to Phoenix, Arizona. His mistake will keep him off the gridiron until Week 6 of the regular season, as the club has a bye in Week 4. He can still practice with the team and participate in exhibition games.

Patrick has been suspended for four games for violating the NFL's substance abuse policy.

Analysis:Patrick tested positive for the drug Adderall, an amphetamine, his agent Kevin Omell said on Monday. The agent says Omell took the drug to stay awake while driving from Flagstaff to Phoenix during the team's bye week in mid-October.

Kurt Warner tells the Arizona Republic that he has been impressed with Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie throughout this month's OTAs. "The guy who continues to impress me is DRC," Warner said. "I see improvement there. He's the guy standing out to me, more than anybody in this camp."

Analysis:DRC is entering his second season and should show improvement from year one. He is a freak athlete who could be a strong factor in big play IDP leagues.

Head coach Sean Payton indicated that the Saints have no immediate plans to ink free agent running back Edgerrin James, according to the New Orleans Times-Picayune. Payton said, "Right now we are content with the guys we have."

Analysis:The Saints already have good depth at running back with Reggie Bush, Pierre Thomas and Mike Bell, and there is no urgency to add James, who is on the downside of his career.
