Tyrone Culver has inked a two-year extension with the Dolphins, according to the Palm Beach Post.

Analysis:Culver will serve as a backup behind Gibril Wilson at free safety, and won't hold value for IDP leagues as long as Wilson remains intact. Culver should see most of his action on special teams coverage.

Ronnie Brown has reportedly looked healthy and faster than ever during OTAs with the Dolphins, according to the Palm Beach Post.

Analysis:Brown is around 20 months removed from major knee surgery on his ACL, and looks to be ready to handle the workload as the Dolphins' featured back in 2009.

According to the Miami Herald, Dolphins' wide receiver Ernest Wilford may be in jeopardy of being cut by the team before the season begins. Dolphins' writer Armando Salguero assesses that "unless he steps up his game a couple of notches, he's simply not one of the best five guys. His hands still aren't reliable. He doesn't have explosion off the line of scrimmage."

Analysis:Wilford has been working a bit as an H-back/tight end, which could give him a better chance to make the squad, but it looks like he has very little chance to make the team as a receiver. Wilford should not be considered in any fantasy leagues, especially since his status seems very much in doubt.

Chad Pennington was excused from Saturday's practice with the Dolphins to attend his sister's wedding, according to the Palm Beach Post.

Analysis:Second-year quarterback Chad Henne benefited from this absence by getting extra reps with the starting offense.

Chad Henne fared well in practice while running the Dolphins' starting offense Saturday, according to the Sun-Sentinel. Head coach Tony Sparano said, "That was good work today in the tight red area. I think it was really good. To get that many reps in a competitive situation was really good for us. The run period was a check-with-me period, so at the line of scrimmage Chad and Pat [White] had to get us in the right play every single time."

Analysis:Henne is being groomed to be a future starter, but he won't hold any fantasy value in 2009 as long as starter Chad Pennington remains intact. Henne is worth targeting in keeper leagues.
