According to Adam Schefter's Twitter account, Jets defensive end Calvin Pace has been suspended for four games.

Analysis:No word yet on why he was suspended, as the announcement wasn't planned to be released until July 4th. Four games though is standard for violation of the league's banned substance policy.

Analysis:Gholston, the Jets' first-round pick in 2008, failed to make an impact last season as a rookie and isn't off to a great start in 2009. The team has said encouraging things about him, but observes of his practices tell a different tale. If anyone can get him going, it's Rex Ryan, but so far Gholston looks far from sharp.

Dustin Keller commented on his twitter page that he eluded a vicious dog attack from a stray pitbull.

Analysis:He claims that he leaped onto a tall fence to avoid the attack, and was not harmed.

David Clowney has been struggling with too many dropped passes during OTAs with the Jets, according to the New York Daily News.

Analysis:Clowney had a chance to start this season with Laveranues Coles departed to Cincinnati, but he failed to prove his worth so far in practice. Chansi Stuckey is currently working as the starter opposite Jerricho Cotchery.

Kellen Clemens and Mark Sanchez are in a "dead heat" for the Jets starting quarterback job according to Newsday.

Analysis:While Clemens has the pro experience, Mark Sanchez has the name and fame. Even if Clemens starts a few games to begin the season, Sanchez will likely take over sooner rather than later.
