The Jaguars have signed 26-year old G/T Paul McQuistan.  McQuistan played in 3 games (0 starts) for the Raiders before being cut earlier this season.  He has now played in 35 games (12 starts) in his NFL career.  McQuistan will help the depth of the offensive line as he can play on the interior or the outside of the line because he's a big guy at 6′6″, 315 pounds.  To make room on the roster for McQuistan the Jaguars have released 31-year old safety Brian Russell.  Russell played in all 9 games for the Jaguars this season and he made 12 tackles.  It was a tad surprising that the Jags cut Russell despite all of the injuries in the secondary.
